The DC18 replacement stretch hose includes the "U" bend and slides right over the wand handle. The hose is delivered in the generic iron version that matches the iron color found on all Dyson vacuums (COLOR may differ from photo). Installation does not require any tools. Simply press the release from the "U" elbow and slide out the wand. Install the replacement in the same manner, only reverse the procedure.
