The DC17 vacuum is a traditional upright design using two (2) rear wheels and feel of a traditional vacuum. The DC17 provides a full size sweeping path, aggressive brushbar, and best used in homes with mainly carpet. The DC17 is available with Animal cleaning accessories

The DC14 is a traditional upright design with two (2) rear wheels and feel of a traditional upright vacuum. The DC14 is a great general purpose vacuum for all floor types and room sizes. One item to note: The brushbar on this unit is powered by the same motor which provides the vacuum suction. Therefore, the ability to turn the brush roller off is acheived by turning a mechanical dial at the base of the vacuum. From the DC15 models forward, the brushbars are powered with a separate motor and can be turned off more easily by use of a on/off power switch within a fingers reach of the handle.
