The use of a mixed flow impeller combines the technologies used in turbochargers and jet engines to generate powerful airflow is partly responsible for the consistent air multiplication. In the Dyson Hot + Cool, the air inlet takes in up to 5.29 gallons of air per second which generates the primary airflow that is then multiplied as it is expelled from the machine. The 8° airfoil-shaped ramp is responsible for generating maximum airflow velocity and volume. The 2.5mm annular aperture of the heater is designed to force air out to create an annular jet stream of constant airflow.
The Air Multiplier technology also provides long-range heat projection, providing occupants of any indoor space to feel direct heat anywhere in the room, not just right next to the heater. This is made possible by the 10mm airflow projector which directs more air towards you by focusing its exit angle. With a brushless motor powering the heater, users have variable power options rather than the limited settings provided by conventional space heater motors. The precision of the Dyson Hot + Cool is one of its greatest features, simply select a target temperature to the degree and the intelligent thermostat keeps it there. The elements reach temperatures so high they begin to burn dust in your air and release an unpleasant burning smell. The engineers at Dyson decided their heater would be made from PTC ceramic plates. Because these ceramic plates never exceed 392°F, the Dyson Hot + Cool Air Multiplier maintains temperature below the dust burning point, so there is never that worrisome burning smell.

I purchased the blue Dyson Hot about a month ago to heat a room in my business that does not have heat central heat output. The walls in this space aren't insulated very well, but the Dyson Hot heats the space so quickly that I don't have to worry about it needing to run constantly to keep the space warm.
I love how quickly the entire room heats up. The building was built in 1899, so safety is certainly a concern as the older materials used can go up in flames much quicker. I am so pleased with the safety features of the Hot, and so glad I chose it for this space. I have no concerns about accidents with this heater, it's absolutely perfect!
If you are debating a space heater and have any concerns about efficiency or safety - save yourself the trouble and get the Dyson heater today. It's worth every last penny.
