Owning a pet is rewarding, but comes with a lot of responsibilities. One responsibility of pet owners is cleaning up after pets, which shed their coats onto our floors and track in dirt from the outdoors or kitty litter from a litter box. In order to keep your home clean, pet owners need to sweep or vacuum daily to stay ahead of the dirt and pet dander, which are often the source of allergy concerns. With this in mind, iRobot has created a line of cleaning robots specifically designed for pet owners in order to make caring for a home with pets easier. The Roomba 532 Pet Series vacuum cleaning robot takes the work out of cleaning after your pets, so you can spend more time enjoying them.

With the latest innovations of the Roomba 500 series as standard features, the Roomba 532 also includes additional special features for pet owners in order to tackle hairy situations and dirt left behind by paws. The design of the Roomba 532 is ideal for homes that have higher amounts of hair in their carpet or on hard floors. The brushes in this model are also set off kilter to avoid hair becoming tangled in the brushes.

The Roomba 532 is similar to other 500 series Roombas and functions in much the same way. The main difference with the pet series is the inclusion of an extra set of brushes, two interchangeable debris bins, and cleaning tools that make it easy to clean the brushes and other parts of the robot that may collect unwanted dirt or hair. With the high-capacity dirt bin on the Roomba 532, iRobot increased the capacity 3.5 times over the standard vacuuming bin. This becomes especially useful for long haired animals or when animals are molting their winter coats. Just like the other 500 series Roomba vacuums, the Roomba 532 adjust automatically to different floor types, uses anti-tangle technology to avoid hang ups with cords or tassels, avoids stairs and drop-offs, and uses virtual walls to stay cleaning only where you want it.

Like other Roomba robotic vacuums, the Roomba 532 cleans three rooms systematically on a single charge and cleans the hard-to-reach areas throughout your home, including wall edges and corners, in addition to your visible flooring surfaces. The Roomba also cleans beneath furniture, yet avoids stairs and other drop-offs. When cleaning is complete, or if the battery is running low, Roomba will automatically return to the self-charging Home Base to dock and recharge the battery. A full charge of the Roomba battery provides enough power to clean up to three rooms on a single charge, and the charging station will provide a full charge in only three hours.

The Roomba 532 Pet Series is unique in the fact that it comes with two interchangeable bins for collecting debris, a Vacuuming Bin and a High Capacity Sweeper Bin. This provides users with the different options for everyday vacuuming or heavy duty cleaning in high-traffic or hairier areas. Also, the pet series features a replacement brush kit which includes an extra bristle brush and beater brush, allowing users to easily replace and clean the brushes without requiring down time for your Roomba. By using clean, hair-free brushes, the Roomba is guaranteed to clean at top performance levels. The Roomba 532 also includes two brush cleaning tools consisting of a new and improved cylindrical shape with a bladed comb. This handy tool provides fast and efficient removal of hair and debris from Roomba's brushes. Finally, two replacement filters come with the Roomba 532. The filters are responsible for trapping dirt, dust, and pet dander inside the robot and should be cleaned or replaced regularly.

How will my pet react to the Roomba? Roomba is designed to be used around pets and children. Most pets are initially curious about Roomba but quickly learn to ignore it - or even play with it. The Roomba will not hurt your animals. Features like automatic shut-off and the gentle-bump sensors will keep your pet safe and ensure that noses, paws, and tails of a curious pet will not be harmed by Roomba. If the Roomba 532 is flipped over by your pet, it will automatically shut off so not to harm your pet or the robot in any way. iRobot recommends that pet owners run the Roomba with your pet at home during the first few cleaning cycles in order to get them used to the robot. After that, Roomba can clean anytime, whether you are on the go or at home.
