Miele Olympus S2120 Canister
The perfect Miele vacuum for the budget conscious, the Miele Olympus S2120 features a soft Lotus White finish on the Clean Air System constructed canister body. The three independent, rubber, 360 degree swivel wheels provide supreme maneuverability across multiple flooring surfaces. The 1200-watt high output Meile-made Vortex Motor maintains optimal suction and dust intake while the Super Air Clean filter system captures 99.95% of particles down to 0.5 micron in size and 94% of particles down to 0.3 particles in size. The electrostatically charged filter will last through 5 bag changes and is included free with each box of Miele vacuum bags ordered. All of this in a lightweight, easy to carry unit.
The sleek, stainless steel, telescoping wand, ergonomic handle and non-electric hose allow for a 29.5' operating radius. The Classic Combination floor tool is ideal for low pile carpeting, area rugs and smooth flooring surfaces. The VarioClip keeps the Natural Bristle Dust Brush, Crevice Tool and Upholstery Nozzle close at hand for more detailed cleaning. A rotary dial with 6 variable power settings is located on the canister body. The Olympus also includes a bag change indicator light and safety shut-off.
Miele's patented AirClean bag is an important part of the vacuum filtration system. The Olympus S2120 uses Type G/N AirClean 4.76 qt 9-layer bag with a spring loaded, self cleaning collar. Miele S2 vacuums are an important part of maintaining the quality of your indoor air.

With a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old, our carpet is continually a mess! We were fortunate to review the Miele Olympus (http://www.thanksmailcarrier.com/2011/09/miele-s2-olympus-canister-vacuum-review.html) and have loved it just as much as the day it arrived! It is small, lightweight, so easy to use and can get anywhere and everywhere. I pull it out for big jobs as well as small ones and have been thrilled at the results each time... as I wasn't familiar with the Miele name before, I now include myself on the list of big fans!

I received my Miele Olympus three months ago for a blog review (http://www.lindsayblogs.com/2011/06/27/miele-s2-olympus-canister-vacuum-review/) and I have to say - I still love my Olympus. It has great suction, is lightweight and not nearly as noisy as my other vacuums. I use it for big and small jobs alike and have never had an issue with it. My other vacuum was bulky and I hated getting it out for small spills so I used the dreaded "dust buster" but getting the Olympus out is no problem at all because it's small and lightweight, so I don't mind using it for even little messes.
I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone who asks me and I stand by my favorable review from 3 months ago.

The Miele Olympus is Power Packed!

The price seemed right and we grabbed the olympus on a whim for a second vacuum for our cottage. After using it a few weekends, we brought it home as our primary vacuum and took our old vacuum to the cottage. Needless to say, we will be buying another Miele to replace our old vacuum. The motor suction is very, very strong. The vacuum is light, but very durable (it already took a tumble down the stairs - no damage). We may buy the large hard floor tool as well as our home has a lot of open wood floor surfaces. The included cleaning head does a good job an everything we have thrown at it. Great job Miele, we are very impressed with the Olympus vacuum.

I had been hoping to purchase a second canister for our upstairs loft. Our whole family has depended on Miele for as long as I can remember. When I found the new Olympus at a great price. We simply love it. These machines never die, and have super powerful suction. We ordered the machine on a Tuesday, and had it by Thursday - great service from vacuum-direct and a great vacuum.
