The Miele combination floor tool shown here can be used with any Miele canister vacuum cleaner. This tool replaces the SBD 245 (part # 05462810 and 05462811).
With the use of a lever, the operator can control whether the tool is in cleaning mode for carpets or bare floors. On the bare floor setting, a brush strip along the front and squeegee along the back allow you to gently clean without scratching or damaging floors. Notches placed along the front of the brush allow dirt to easily enter the nozzle and through the vacuum to the bag. With the carpet and rug setting, the brush strip and squeegee recede, and the channeled steel sole plate contacts the carpet, pulling air through the vacuum filter. A soft, non-scratching roller wheel allows the nozzle to move easily over the floor.
This tool is part of the SBD floor tool line made up of the 350-3, 450-3, and 550-3. This model is made of metal, an upgrade from the 350-3 model.
